Apple “Cookies”

Serves: 2 | Serving Size: About 3 slices

Satisfy your sweet tooth with these apples topped with the comfort of peanut butter and chocolate chips and the health benefits of slivered almonds.  Three slices (or half of an apples worth) will let your snack time feel sooo indulgent without the guilt.

Ingredients

  • 1 large apple
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons  mini chocolate chips, cocoa nibs or shredded unsweetened coconut
  • 2 tablespoons  slivered almonds
  • Cinnamon, to taste

Directions

Core the apple and slice into 1/4-inch thick slices. Spread each slice with peanut butter and sprinkle with chocolate chips. Top with almond slivers and cinnamon.
