Grilled Flank Steak with Orange and Pale Ale Marinade

 The key to successful grilling is starting with a tasty cut of meat. Give your steak an added advantage with a soak in this delicious flavor-infusing marinade to help soften up a tougher cut of meat.

Yields: Makes enough for 2 lbs. beef

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup medium-bodied beer, such as pale ale
  • Zest and juice of 1 large orange or 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 Tbls. minced garlic
  • 1/2 medium onion pulsed in a food processor
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 lbs Flank Steak

How to Make It

  1. Whisk all ingredients together. Put beef in a nonreactive baking dish and pour marinade over, turning to coat
  2. Grill your meat for 6 minutes on each side or until grilled to your liking
