My name is Tracy Ash and I am the mom of 3 girls, Brooklyn Kendall and Lauren. I am married to a wonderful husband, Mike, who loves to keep busy with construction projects, hanging out without kids and trying new craft beers. I have an amazing career as a self-employed Residential Architect and I teach Piyo, which is my soulmate workout.
My journey to coaching started after years of doing the “same old, same old” high impact workouts at the gym, squeezing in runs and doing my best to maintain healthy eating habits, I was not seeing the results that I wanted or that I felt I deserved for all the effort I was putting in. I needed a change but I didn’t know what it was.
In 2012, my daughter Kendall, was hit by an automobile and suffered traumatic brain injury. As a mom, I lovingly put all my energy, emotions, and time into trying to heal our family and organize all of Kendall’s surgeries, therapies, doctor appointments. I was exhausted, full of anxiety, restless sleep, depressed and I had constant migraines and pins and needles in my hands and feet. In those 2 years I went from never seeing a doctor to being admitted into the emergency room 4 times for my extreme pain.
During that time I also gained 20 lbs and lost my excitement for life. I finally waved my white flag and my doctor diagnosed me with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, High Cortisol levels, depression and Adrenal fatigue. Now what??? I did not want to spend my life taking medications that would make me feel numb. I wanted to be present for my kids and husband. I wanted to feel alive again.
I was ordered me to find a workout that allowed me to slow down, relax and put myself on my list. A friend suggested I try PiYo. After one class I was hooked. I was not jumping, running or trying to squeeze in a maximum calorie burn in a short amount of time. I was being mindful of my balance and strength, enjoying my workouts and seeing results. After one month of Piyo I lost 10 lbs and I was able to start feeling like me again. Thanks to PiYo I no longer had achy hips, knees, and most importantly, my heart.
Adding Shakeology to my daily routine created a convenient way for me to get a healthy meal or snack that filled me up with the planets most nutritious healing foods, it curbed my sweet tooth and gave me lasting energy. Peace out emotional eating!
PiYo and Shakeology created a new me! I now see the “me” that I knew I was but I didn’t have the energy to find. It is my life’s passion to pay this awesome life forward and to change this world one life at a time and I would love to have you join me on this journey!
